Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

2nd Shift | Saturday–Wednesday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Starting Pay: $17.00/hour

Are you passionate about helping others on their recovery journey? Join Amatus Health as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at our Men's Recovery Housing Program . In this role, you'll help provide a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for men in recovery from substance use disorders.

As a vital member of our treatment team, you'll encourage accountability, promote healthy routines, and support residents as they work toward long-term recovery. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to build a rewarding career in behavioral healthcare.

• Support residents throughout the admission and orientation process.

• Assist with resident transportation as needed.

• Monitor resident safety, behavior, and overall well-being within the recovery house.

• Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the clinical and medical teams.

• Build positive, professional relationships while fostering a supportive recovery environment.

• Facilitate orientation groups and assist with daily programming.

• Help de-escalate difficult situations and support residents at risk of leaving the program AMA/ACA.

• Complete accurate shift reports, documentation, and routine safety checks.

• Monitor family visits to ensure resident safety.

• Assist the nursing team during medication pass when applicable.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming recovery home.

• Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.

• Protect resident confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, federal, and state regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• One (1) year of behavioral health, mental health, human services, or recovery support experience preferred (or related college coursework)

• Valid driver's license required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
