Registered Behavior Technician - Full Time | Outpatient

JOB REF: 26-005 JOB SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY

RBTs at Elite Spectrum ABA work under BCBA/RBT Supervisor guidance to deliver behavior analysis services, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Measurement

1. Implement procedures such as continuous and discontinuous measurement. 2. Collect data on client behaviors electronically. 3. Describe the behaviors and environments in observable and measurable terms.

Assessment

1. Assist in conducting preference and/or functional assessments.

Skill Acquisition

1. Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan. Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan. 2. Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules). 3. Utilize discrete-trial teaching methods, and naturalistic teaching strategies such as incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining approaches, and discrimination training. 4. Carry out stimulus control transfer, prompt and prompt fading, generalization, maintenance, shaping, and token economy processes.

Behavior Reduction

1. Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays. 2. Incorporate interventions that are based on adjusting elements such as motivating operations and discerning stimuli. 3. Put differential reinforcement procedures into effect (e.g., DRA, DRO).

Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section. Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

BACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing) American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles. Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above-average clinical skills. Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and co-workers. Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
