We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionPosition: Medical EditorLocation: New Providence, NJ 07974Duration: FulltimeGeneral SummaryThe Medical Editor will be responsible for executing the highest editorial quality of a range of client-driven materials (all stages) for promotional medical education projects. This position will copyedit, proofread, fact check, and will work with staff at all levels across the company.Major Duties and Responsibilities• Reviews, edits, and proofreads materials for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation; consistency; reference accuracy, citation, and formatting; clarity of writing• Ensures all client guidelines are followed• Materials that the Medical Editor will work on include but are not limited to:Meeting materials (eg, invitations, brochures, correspondence, participant packets)PowerPoint slide presentations (including figures/tables) and accompanying notesExecutive summaries and meeting reportsWeb-based materialsOther materials generated through the company• Attends off-site client copy-review meetings• Performs other duties and assignments as directedMinimum Job Requirements• Bachelor's degree• Minimum 3 years' experience in all aspects of medical/scientific editing, proofreading, references• Knowledge of AMA style• Proficient in Microsoft Office• Proven track record of producing error-free work by assigned deadlines.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required• Extreme attention to detail• Excellent organizational skills• Excellent communication skills, especially written• Ability to successfully pass editing/proofreading test
