This inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit delivers structured psychiatric services to pediatric patients requiring evaluation and treatment in a supervised clinical setting. The unit is staffed to support the specialized needs of a diverse patient population, including those with forensic, substance abuse, and eating disorder presentations. Locum tenens coverage is sought to maintain continuity of psychiatric services within this dedicated inpatient environment.

New York State offers a broad range of regional attractions and year-round activities across its diverse areas. Outdoor recreation, cultural events, farm experiences, and waterfront activities are available throughout the state, providing clinicians on assignment with options for leisure and exploration.

The clinician will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The clinician must hold board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and must have experience with or credentials in the treatment of forensic populations, substance abuse, and eating disorders. No call obligations are associated with this position, and prescriptive authority is required.
