Overview AS A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST , you will calibrate, inspect and test all respiratory care equipment to ensure proper operating condition. You disassemble, clean and sterilize equipment for reuse according to prescribed procedures. You administer respiratory care services as necessary to include all services offered by the department. You coordinate Respiratory Technicians to ensure proper utilization of staff and make daily work assignments in a fair and equitable manner. You are responsible for the quality of patient care delivered. You develop, recommend and implement new procedures, techniques and equipment.
