Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to work with us at our Hospice House in Ocala while providing exceptional care.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7am to 7p Week 1- Wed-Fri, Week 2- Thur-Sat

What you'll do:

• Assist patient in maintenance of good personal hygiene and promote a healthful, clean and safe environment.
• Prepares and serves regular and special diets as directed. Assists with feeding as needed.
• Shampoos hair and shaves (males) as requested by patient and family and/or as indicated on plan of care.
• Gives partial or complete bath or shower, and offers/performs frequent oral hygiene.
• Changes bed linen as indicated in Care Center practices and/or at patient/family request.
• Performs other assignments including but not limited to housekeeping, laundry, kitchen clean-up, or other duties as needed.

What you'll need:

• Experience: One to three years of training and/or experience required. One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.
• Licensure: Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Must be able to remain flexible and work at alternate facility where there is a business need for reassignment for one or more shifts at an alternative facility. When this occurs, the colleague is responsible for their own transportation to the alternate facility and at their expense.
