About The Position This is a 0.6 FTE non‑continuing leave replacement position for an English Language Arts Teacher at Mountlake Terrace High School for the 2026‑27 school year ONLY. Required Qualifications Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in English Language Arts, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date. Salary 2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226. Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying educational level and certificated work experience, and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE. Benefits Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions. Health insurance eligibility is based on anticipated hourly compensation; for the 2026‑27 school year a 0.5 FTE continuing contract position meets the 630‑hour threshold. Eligibility for a non‑continuing contract position will be determined at hire based on total anticipated hours. Retirement eligibility is based on anticipated hours: at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 2026‑27 school year a 0.6 FTE (continuing or non‑continuing) meets this threshold. Supplemental benefits include life insurance, paid sick leave, paid personal leave, employee assistance program, deferred compensation plan, and 403(b) plans. Physical Requirements/Demands The physical demands include navigating various school and classroom environments, assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors, communicating regularly with others, performing frequent manual work using hands or fingers, occasional reaching, bending, or twisting, moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds), and performing close‑range tasks requiring visual focus.
