Work Environment

The work setting is a hospital-based urgent care facility, where the atmosphere is fast-paced yet deeply collaborative. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance while making a significant impact in the lives of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform procedures and minor surgical interventions under the supervision and guidance of attending physicians, always prioritizing patient safety.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising doctors, leveraging clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment choices, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications aimed at enhancing overall wellness.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population ranging from children to adults seeking urgent medical attention. Whether addressing minor injuries, acute illnesses, or chronic condition exacerbations, your work will be essential in providing timely care that addresses each patient’s unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited educational program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting. Experience with minor surgical procedures is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, acknowledging the expertise and dedication you bring to our practice.
