Field Application Scientist

Genedata seeks a Field Application Scientist to provide technical expertise and support for enterprise software customers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The role involves demonstrating software solutions, analyzing customer needs, delivering consulting services, and interfacing between internal teams and clients in a San Francisco-based, on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Deliver software demonstrations, training, and ongoing technical support to customers
- Assess customer workflows and infrastructure to identify needs and map solutions
- Provide scientific consulting and professional services for customer implementation projects
- Serve as liaison between internal teams and customer scientific and IT partners
- Plan, execute, and manage consulting, implementation, and requirements analysis projects
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.Sc.) in life science relevant to biotech/biopharma
- Experience with assay data analysis in pharmaceutical or biotech settings
- Strong communication skills across scientific, IT, and executive stakeholders
- Proven collaboration and cross-functional teamwork in internal/external environments
- Scripting language experience (Python preferred) and UNIX shell familiarity (preferred)
- Background in drug discovery or drug development industry/academia (preferred)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base, plus bonus/incentive pay eligible
