By continuing to browse, you consent to our use of cookies.**# CareersProject Manager II page is loaded## Project Manager IIApplylocations: Balch Springs, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR100752**Job Overview:**Essential Functions:Including but not limited to the following:· Work with the business development team from the receipt of a request for proposal to ensure understanding of the project scope, budget, and schedule.· Collaborate with the engineer and the customer to determine the specifications of the project· Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations· Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met and coordinate with construction managers to match talent to the job· Negotiate terms with external vendors to source any required materials· Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities· Oversee the beginning of each project, to ensure all purchase orders and permits are in place and all design and engineering specifications are finalized and ready for construction. Develop work packages for assignment to supervisors.· Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and quality standards.· Interface with customer to provide progress updates and direct construction to meet customer priorities.· Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds Company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while ensuring the customer’s requirements are efficiently met.· Review, approve, and negotiate change orders· Conduct meetings on-site with the engineer, the customer and construction team· Manage the work of supervisors, inspectors, and foremen and give them guidance when needed· Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.· Update leadership monthly with financial status of project and invoicing.Required Abilities, Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:· Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced work environment· A team player with leadership abilities – Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers· Accurate and precise attention to detail· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions· Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office· Deadline and detail-oriented· Extensive experience and knowledge managing budgets for large construction projects· Excellent organizational and time-management skills· Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards· High level of financial responsibilities· Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment· Superior management and delegation capabilities· Self-motivated and self-directed· Strong project management skills· Strong analysis and critical thinking· Strong leadership qualitiesSupervisory Responsibilities: NARequired Education, Certifications, Licenses and Experience:The ideal candidate will have education and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:· 2 to 5 years’ experience in project management and at least 3 years’ of self-perform construction experience· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study· Preferred experience in telecommunications or utility construction· Extensive experiencing managing budgets for construction projects over $5 MM in scope· Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment· Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards· Outstanding written and oral communication and negotiation skills· Excellent organizational and time-management skills· Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers· PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage· Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred**Company Overview:**Future, a Primoris Company, is a leader in telecommunications construction, delivering innovative solutions, superior service, and high-quality craftsmanship to meet the needs of our customers.**Benefits:*** Competitive compensation paid weekly.* Best-in-class; Medical, Dental, Vision, and LTD/STD.* 401(k) with company match, vested day-one.* Employee Stock Purchase Plan [ESPP].* Tuition Reimbursement.* Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, and Community Service Paid Time Off.* Pet Coverage "For our Furry Friends"* Legal Assistance Coverage* Award winning safety programs.* Overtime opportunities.* Growth Opportunities.* And more. #J-18808-Ljbffr
