Registered Nurse – Operating Room (General Surgery)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (9:40–23:10)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for complex general surgery cases including HIPEC, Whipple procedures, colectomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and appendectomies
• Support trauma, burn, and laparoscopic surgical cases in a high-acuity operating room environment?
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci Xi system
• Participate in organ procurement procedures as needed
• Float to other units or surgical specialties as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Operating Room experience within the last 3 years in the applicable specialty
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
• Must meet local rule: residence must be 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with kidney transplant procedures
• Familiarity with high-complexity surgical environments including trauma and burn cases
