Phoenix Behavioral Services, LLC is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support children with behavioral needs through compassionate, evidence-based care in Prattville, AL.

Position Summary

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children to implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of clinical professionals. You will help create meaningful progress by delivering consistent support, collecting accurate data, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA therapy to clients to support communication, social skills, learning readiness, play skills, adaptive skills, and independence.

• Implement teaching strategies, behavior interventions, and skill-building programs accurately and consistently.

• Communicate regularly with the supervising BCBA regarding client progress, concerns, and changes in behavior.

• Collect, record, and report objective data on client progress to support ongoing treatment decisions.

• Maintain client confidentiality and follow all HIPAA, company, and professional requirements.

• Follow behavior support plans and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors.

• Maintain safety and professionalism in all client interactions and follow required protocols.

• Participate in supervision, staff meetings, training, and other required clinical activities.

• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming therapy environment.

• Build positive and professional relationships with clients and their families.

• Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.

• Maintain professional boundaries and conduct at all times.

• Assist with maintaining therapy materials, equipment, and treatment areas.

• Follow all Phoenix Behavioral Services policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential (or willingness to obtain certification after hire).

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to remain calm and supportive when working with challenging behaviors.

• Ability to implement behavior interventions consistently and follow clinical direction.

• Strong observational skills and commitment to accurate data collection.

• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a care team.

• Must be receptive to constructive feedback, coaching, and ongoing professional development.

• Ability to accept feedback professionally and use it to improve clinical performance & client care.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a patient, supportive approach to working with individuals and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs.

• Familiarity with behavior data tracking and documentation best practices.

• Experience working in a clinical, education, or human services environment.

• Strong understanding of safety practices and supportive de-escalation techniques.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical ability to actively engage with children throughout the therapy day and to remain alert, mobile, and responsive during scheduled sessions. Essential activities may include standing and walking for extended periods, sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, participating in active play, and assisting with age-appropriate movement-based activities. RBTs must also be able to respond quickly and safely if a client attempts to elope or otherwise leave the designated therapy area. This may require walking or running short distances, changing direction quickly, navigating the clinic environment, and maintaining sufficient physical stamina to respond effectively. The ability to safely respond to elopement and other urgent client behaviors is an essential function of this position.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $18
