Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist role is available to contribute to exemplary medication management and counseling in a healthcare setting focused on patient-centered outcomes. This position supports the fulfillment of the organization’s mission by providing prescribed pharmaceuticals according to professional standards, ensuring safe and effective drug use, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Schedule/Hours: Day shift, full time, non-exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and oversee non-pharmacist personnel involved in medication use.
  • Advise healthcare professionals on appropriate drug therapy, side effects, dosage, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with medical and nursing staff by providing up-to-date pharmaceutical knowledge and therapeutic options.
  • Conduct medication use reviews, assess patient outcomes and compliance, and provide patient education on proper medication use.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory securely and in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient therapy.
  • Maintain confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines and contribute to developing drug use policies and procedures.
  • Mentor pharmacy and healthcare students, participate in community committees, and provide consulting to long-term care facilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution; PharmD preferred.
  • Current state pharmacist license and successful passage of licensure examination.
  • Minimum of three years retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and patient confidentiality.

Working Environment:

  • Climate-controlled, smoke-free indoor facility.
  • Handling of bio-hazardous materials and exposure to pharmaceuticals requiring safety precautions.
  • Interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and multiple departments daily.
