As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Whiteville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed patrol professional in a driving post, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support daily operations with strong communication and customer service while representing a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, acts with integrity, and puts people first through teamwork and care.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and security-related protocols appropriate to a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with supervisors and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas while remaining prepared to perform armed post duties in accordance with site policies and post orders.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen authorized movement through restricted areas, and report unusual activity that could help to deter violations of rules and procedures.
• Support emergency response activities by assisting with lockdowns, evacuations, medical incidents, and/or other security-related situations in alignment with location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
