Job Description Job Description GPS Field Survey Technician We are a growing geospatial company based in Englewood, Colorado looking for new surveyors to join our team. We offer a flexible schedule, advanced training in GPS survey methods, and a chance to see the world! The Company: CompassData Inc. is a dedicated group of professionals who have been in the forefront of the geospatial industry since 1994. We have long been recognized in the geospatial community as a leading provider of global ground control data. We have an online archive of these ground control points that can bee seen on our webpage at -mapping-data/ground-control-points-archive/ The Position : We're looking for a GPS Field Survey Technician with a good understanding of GIS, Photogrammetry, LiDAR, and Trimble GPS equipment. A good candidate will be self-motivated, technically savvy, able to travel within a week to two weeks' notice and can use Google/Microsoft products such as Google Earth and Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities : * Travel planning to survey locations including booking flights, rental cars, and hotels * Utilize Trimble GPS units to collect high precision GPS data * Carefully document surveyed locations in field sketches, photos, and field notes *
