*Job Summary and Responsibilities* As our Per Diem Physician Assistant, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Seattle, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Emergency Medicine cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group. To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Per Diem Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ED patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. * *Provide high-quality emergency medical care*, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients. * *Work collaboratively with attending physicians* to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions. * *Ensure effective patient handoffs* and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams. * *Participate in quality improvement initiatives* to enhance patient outcomes. * *Shifts* are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM * *Work side-by-side with dedicated night Emergency Physicians* on overnight shifts. * *24,000 annual visits* in a moderate-acuity urban ED. * *Exceptional specialty support* for seamless patient care. * *Comprehensive Stroke Center* with onsite Neurohospitalists. * *Regional Hyperbaric Medicine Referral Center*, offering unique clinical exposure. *Job Requirements* *Required* * Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington. * Minimum one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience * ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) * BLS (Basic Life Support) Where You'll Work Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
