As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive delicious, nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders

• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods for residents who refuse served foods

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to sanitary regulations and ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good working order

• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils are readily available for next meal

• Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and trays to designated areas, serving food and drinks in the dining room as instructed

• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties

• Must possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents based on their maturity level

• Must be willing to learn and adapt to new methods and principles, and incorporate them into existing food practices

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday

• Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics to enable these senses to function adequately

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and a minimum distance of 50 feet

• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

We Offer:
$18.5 - $18.5 HOURLY
