Senior Reliability Coordinator - NERC Certified System Operator (NCSO)

Job Overview Senior Reliability Coordinator - NERC Certified System Operator (NCSO) will conduct continuous analysis based on changing data and models and make adjustments to mitigate potential risks to MISO and its stakeholders. The role is part of the Reliability Coordination function and works to resolve transmission congestion to maintain the reliable operation of the interconnection on a 24x7 basis. The coordinator will also provide input on process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities You will help maintain the integrity of, and the safe, reliable operation of, the Bulk Electric System, act promptly and decisively in response to complex and unplanned situations, and demonstrate situational awareness, independent judgment, and critical thinking. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business or related field OR at least 4 years of relevant work experience. Successful completion of the Oral Board and Simulation Certification for their assigned functional desk, either during training or after hiring. Current NERC/RC Certification or ability to obtain NERC Certification following on-the-job training prior to operating their assigned functional desk. At least five years of experience in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, generation system dispatch, transmission system operations, merchant operations, generation operational planning, or power accounting. Benefits Base salary range: $138,000.00 - $148,000.00 USD annually. Salary may vary based on location, competencies, education, certifications, and experience.
