Travel CT TechnologistFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 12 week travel assignment in Kokomo, IN. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as a CT TechnologistValid Radiology license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:Current ARRT CertificationOther certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.Essential Work Functions:Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposesPrepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriatelySet appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathologyProvide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretationAdhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safetyPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionalityDocument patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital's systemCollaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic servicesAbility to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilitiesPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
