X-Ray Technician

X-Ray TechnicianWe are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) to perform diagnostic imaging examinations for patients in accordance with physician orders. The technician is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with radiation protection standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures as ordered by physiciansPrepare patients for radiologic examinations and explain procedures clearlyPosition patients correctly to obtain accurate and high-quality imagesOperate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficientlyEnsure proper radiation safety protocols for patients, self, and staffReview images for quality and make adjustments as neededMaintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR systemsCollaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging resultsFollow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety guidelinesAssist with inventory management and equipment maintenance checksQualifications:Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related fieldCurrent certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred or required depending on state)Active state license in Radiologic Technology (if applicable)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationKnowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging protocolsPreferred Skills / Experience:Prior experience in hospital or outpatient imaging center preferredStrong attention to detail and patient care skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a healthcare teamFamiliarity with digital imaging systems (PACS, EMR)Work Environment:Hospital, urgent care, or outpatient imaging facilityMay require standing for long periods and assisting patients with mobilityExposure to controlled radiation environments with safety protocols in place.
