Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday | Day Shift | Flexible Hours
No Weekends | No Holidays | No On-Call | No Float
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist (Breast Imaging) for an exciting Travel or Local job in North Bergen, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex breast ultrasound examinations
- Utilize Doppler techniques to assess vascularity and tissue structures
- Optimize imaging quality using proper gain, depth, focus, and TGC adjustments
- Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and interventional procedures
- Evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and PACS systems
- Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally
- Ensure proper documentation, image archiving, and data management
- Follow infection control, safety, and departmental protocols
- Support quality assurance and imaging standards compliance
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of breast ultrasound experience required (5+ preferred)
- Active RDMS (ARDMS) certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program required
- BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques
- Experience with PACS and ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures required
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced breast imaging center
