We're looking for a Senior Java Software Developer to join our dynamic team to design, build, and implement new features in an existing enterprise application.This position will be Hybrid (if located in DFW), or Remote (if located outside of DFW) with required quarterly travel.Duties & Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using SpringBoot and microservices architectureDrive quality through consistent application of Test-Driven Development (TDD)Design and build internal tools and user-facing features that enhance the user experienceCollaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environmentTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and development environmentsUse AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex to advance test-driven development practices, improve code quality, and accelerate delivery of well-tested software.Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviewsRequired Skills and Experience:7+ Years of experience in Java and Spring Boot7+ Years of experience with both SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with Agile development methodologiesProficient in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCPStrong experience with GIT for version controlSkilled in testing frameworks such as JUnit and MockitoExcited about Test Driven Development and software qualityExperience with, or openness to, AI-assisted development workflows, including pairing with tools such as OpenAI Codex to support test-driven development and code quality.Preferred Skills and Experience:10+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot2+ years of practical Test-Driven Development experienceFamiliarity with front-end technologies (e.g. Angular, React)Experience modernizing legacy applications or "strangling" monolithsPractical experience using AI-assisted development tools, including OpenAI Codex, in test-driven development and modern software engineering workflows.About HITRUSTHITRUST is the leader in validated cybersecurity assurance used in third-party risk management and compliance.
