Operating Room RN (Registered Nurse) - Night Shift

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours/week. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. This position involves provided care and support in the operating room environment, focusing on patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a Level 1 Trauma environment, showcasing proficiency in various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room.
• Assist in all surgical cases, including General, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics, and Transplant.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Maintain scrupulous documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Respond to emergency situations with effective care and management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting during the last 3 years (preferably 3 years).
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nurse experience within the last 3 years.
• Strong knowledge and skills in all surgical specialties.
• Current RN license and relevant certifications required.
• Flu and COVID vaccines required, with acceptance of medical/religious declinations.
