Medical Billing Manager

:

Full-time medical coding and billing manager needed for busy and growing Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC). Ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel, reviewing patient electronic medical records, reviewing patient insurance investigations/verifications, overseeing patient collections, resolving claim disputes, and establishing billing workflow best practices. Extensive experience with infusion claim management, prior authorizations, and payer relationships is required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Candidate must be located in Shreveport or Monroe, LA area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ø High School diploma or equivalent

Ø At least two years in medical billing required.

Ø Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines.

Ø Experience with medical billing and working denials and appeals is required

Ø Knowledge of CPT, NDC, ICD-10 and HCPCS units

Ø Must be able to multitask and support numerous referrals / tasks while ensuring expectations are met in in a fast-paced environment.

Ø Proficient with EHR platforms, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

Ø Must be a team player and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical billing claims using ICD-10 and CPT coding accurately.
• Review and verify patient medical records and insurance information for completeness.
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries and payment issues.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with managed care requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and communication purposes.
