Physical Therapist Assistant

Seeking full-time physical therapist assistant to join our Sanford outpatient rehab clinic. You'll have the opportunity to provide one-on-one care to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, balance and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate for delivering evidence based and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic and neuologic conditions, balance issues, weakness and pain dysfunction
• Provide hands-on therapy using a range of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise on land and in the aquatic environment
• Document patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Collaborate with the primary therapist as well as physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
• Work closely with a large team of experienced physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and speech, language pathologists
• Educate patients and families about their conditions
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
• Participate in continuous professional development

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Current NC PTA license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
• Experience preferred but new graduate candidates considered
