Job Description:
This job is responsible for influencing and driving optimal bank-wide liquidity strategies by Lines of Business (LOBs) and legal entity in business as usual (BAU) and stress scenarios. Key responsibilities include overseeing and influencing liquidity utilization across the organization and providing input into process and control designs, operational risk mitigation, issue management, automation, and other initiatives across the bank.

This role sits at the center of the bank's liquidity risk management framework and offers a unique opportunity to solve complex problems that directly influence the firm's financial resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

The Analyst will be responsible for:

• Performing liquidity reporting, monitoring, and analytics to support regulatory and internal submissions.
• Interpreting liquidity reporting rules, data requirements, and regulatory guidance.
• Enhancing and modernizing processes to streamline reporting and expand analytical capabilities.
• Conducting system testing and assessing impacts across the end-to-end liquidity reporting lifecycle.
• Ensuring documentation, governance, and reporting controls are current and robust, reducing operational risk.
• Supporting ad-hoc analytical projects for senior management and regulators.

Responsibilities:

• Measures, analyzes, monitors, and reports on the bank's spot and forecasted liquidity position, provides guidance to business units to improve liquidity position, and supports regulatory and management liquidity reporting
• Oversees processes, risks, and controls and tracks and monitors issues to ensure adherence with policies, risk standards, and compliance with internal and regulatory liquidity reporting requirements
• Partners with other Lines of Business (LOBs) to determine limits, guidelines, and direction, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the bank's risk framework
• Monitors liquidity risk trends relating to business activities and correlations between business drivers and liquidity usage and builds out enhanced liquidity reporting
• Reviews liquidity regulations and ensures documentation required for compliance is up to date with regulatory requirements
• Streamlines reporting processes and builds out analytic capabilities using emerging technology (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)
• Provides input into monthly and quarterly reporting, disclosures, and presentations for Risk Committees, Board of Directors, and enterprise and local regulators
• Collaborate with LOB partners to influence liquidity limits, guidelines, and strategy within the broader risk framework.
• Contributes to monthly and quarterly reporting, disclosures, and presentations for Risk Committees, Boards, and global/local regulators.

Required Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets and understand end-to-end data flows in complex systems.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with a drive to improve processes and solve problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, liquidity management, or data analytics within a financial institution.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field-or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Management, Accounting, or Data Management.
• SQL/database knowledge and comfort analyzing large datasets and data flows.
• Experience with quantitative models or scenario analysis.
• Strong understanding of banking products, funding mechanisms, and capital markets.
• Experience with tools such as Workiva, Atlas/LIBRA, Blueprint, Diamond, Tableau, or other automation/reporting applications.
