Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | 5 Days / 8 Hours | Projected Start: June 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
• Participate in on-call requirements, including STEMI call coverage approximately 16–20 days per 6-week period and on-call weekend rotation (3 out of every 6 weekends).

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related nursing specialty.
• Ability to complete new hire orientation and department-specific competency validation within the first 30 days.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers in complex clinical situations.
