Vice President of Subsurface

Dalton Boggs & Associates

Dalton Boggs & Associates is seeking candidates for a Vice President of Subsurface with a privately held, Oklahoma City based oil and gas company focused in the Permian Basin. This person will lead the company’s geology function. The role covers geologic evaluation of acquisitions, trades, leasing and operator well proposals. It also involves building maps and landing zone interpretations, setting standard workflows, and presenting recommendations to executive management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Geology (Master’s preferred) and 7+ years of petroleum geology experience
Permian Basin and horizontal development experience, including landing zone selection and well spacing
Advanced mapping, cross-section and log analysis skills
A self-starter with strong communication skills, comfortable in a small company environment
Preferred: experience evaluating acquisitions, trades or non-operated interests
