Branch Sales Associate

Responsibilities
- Provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude
- Maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations
- Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicles
- Adapt communication style to differing audiences via email, phone, and in person
- Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
- Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock
- Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment
- Perform inventory counts
- Navigate different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance to Grainger standards
- Report to the Branch Manager
Requirements
- Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
- Will safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
- Learn and operate powered industrial equipment
- Agree to safety guidelines and comply with all process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment
