Our organization is seeking applications for a distinguished Academic Vascular Neurologist to become part of the Stroke Institute, led by the Chair of Neurology and the Director of the Stroke Institute. The ideal candidate will join a globally recognized team dedicated to enhancing the field of cerebrovascular medicine through exceptional patient care, education, clinical research, and innovative practices.

This opportunity is available at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, depending on the candidate's experience and academic achievements. Applicants should have completed a fellowship in Vascular Neurology accredited by ACGME, possess board certification or eligibility in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology, and qualify for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania. We highly encourage those with interests in clinical research, clinical trials, medical education, quality improvement, implementation science, artificial intelligence, or stroke care systems to apply.

  • Work within a comprehensive integrated stroke system that includes five Comprehensive/Thrombectomy -Capable Stroke Centers, numerous Primary Stroke Centers, and one of the largest academic telestroke networks in the country.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of vascular neurologists, neurointerventional specialists, cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, neurocritical care experts, neuroradiologists, rehabilitation professionals, advanced practice providers, and dedicated research staff.
  • Engage in significant NIH-funded, investigator-initiated, and industry-sponsored clinical trials that influence national and international stroke guidelines.
  • Teach and mentor five ACGME-accredited Vascular Neurology Fellows and four CAST-accredited Neuroendovascular Fellows, along with neurology residents, medical students, and visiting physicians.
  • Participate in innovative projects involving advanced neuroendovascular treatments, neuroimaging, neurosonology, artificial intelligence, digital health, implementation science, and regional stroke care systems.
