Fitness Trainer

Job Title: Trainer Reports to: Club Manager Status: Full Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt Job Summary Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (View email address on click.appcast.io). This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on proper equipment use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct and manage the Planet Fitness View email address on click.appcast.io program, including creating and adhering to the schedule. Consult with members about their fitness goals and instruct them on safe and proper equipment use. Develop creative strategies to promote View email address on click.appcast.io class sign-ups. Create bi-weekly updates with various exercises. Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic. Assist with front desk activities, including: Answering phones and assisting callers. Checking members into the system. Signing up new members. Touring potential members. Updating member account information. Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the club. Minimum Qualifications Honesty and a strong work ethic. Excellent communication and organizational skills. A passion for fitness and health. Punctuality and reliability. Exceptional customer service skills, with a positive and professional demeanor. Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities. Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior. Completed fitness trainer certification. Physical Demands Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift. Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
