Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a privately held technology company to find an experienced Senior Accountantin Frisco, TX. This position offers a competitive salary of $85-95K , an excellent benefits package, and a hybrid work schedule after training, 3 days in office and 2 work from home.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities for multiple entities within assigned deadlines, including preparation of financial statements for assigned companies.
  
  
• Ensure completion of the month-end closing package for each 12 subsidiaries.
  
  
• Prepare, compile, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
  
  
• Complete bank reconciliations and Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.
  
  
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany allocations.
  
  
• Analyze period-end financial data and provide clear explanations for variances to budget and prior periods.
  
  
• Support accounts receivable management for assigned entities, including monitoring balances, reducing overdue accounts to under 60 days, and following up with customers on past due invoices.
  
  
• Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits, ensuring all audit requests are completed within required deadlines.
  
  
• Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  
  
• Support ad hoc accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
  
  
• 2+ years of experience in accounting.
  
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries and financial statement preparation is required
  
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial purposes
  
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
  
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with major ERP
