Dentist Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Dentist to support the Orlando VA Healthcare System primarily working at the Orlando VA Medical Center located at 13800 Veterans Way Orlando, FL 32827. In addition to the primary duty location, this role includes providing services at surrounding Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) to support coverage needs. Responsibilities

• Consultations and comprehensive dental examinations
• Diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial conditions
• Preventive and therapeutic dental treatment
• Treatment of caries and defective restorations
• Management of traumatic dental injuries
• Occlusal therapy
• Emergency dental treatment
• Oral pathology and oral medicine services
• Non-surgical management of temporomandibular disorders (TMD)
• Fixed and removable prosthetic replacement of missing teeth
• Restoration of single implants
• Implant-retained dentures
• Non-surgical endodontic therapy
• Simple and surgical extractions
• Socket preservation
• Alveoplasty
• Minor pre-prosthetic surgery
• Repair of minor intraoral lacerations/wounds
• Soft tissue biopsy (<1 cm)
• Gingivectomy/Gingivoplasty
• Localized delivery of chemotherapeutic agents
• Minimal sedation/anxiolysis (oral single agent)
• Complete occlusal adjustment
• Post-mortem dental examinations for identification purposes

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)
• Current, active, and unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements
• Ability to work on-site and travel to outpatient clinics as needed
• No services may be provided prior to full VA credentialing and approval by the Professional Standards Board, Medical Executive Board, and Medical Center Director

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
