Summary Gift Officer, Individual and Family Giving (GO) will successfully manage their own portfolio of individual donors and prospects. The position will develop and maintain a strong multi-year roadmap of solicitations and supporting pipeline, focusing on effective qualification and cultivation strategies enabling effective financial forecasting of lead annual and mid-level giving donors and prospects. Their portfolio will have a high focus on prospect and donors within the greater Tampa Bay region. Position Highlights The GO will support the Director and AVP in developing and executing strategies and tactics, including portfolio building and geographic growth. Select Responsibilities Meet or exceed annual goals and metrics set forth each fiscal year, working with Director and/or AVP. Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with a range of capacities, predominantly lead annual and mid-level donors, and potentially major gift-level donors. Maintain knowledge of Moffitt’s Institutional Priorities and align fundraising efforts to support them. Maintain effective and professional communications internally and externally, ensuring the direct line manager is aware of progress, and proactively communicating any issues or challenges that may impact goal attainment. Credentials and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Minimum of two (2) years of frontline fundraising experience, and proven ability to close five-figure gifts. Minimum four (4) years of professional experience working with nonprofits or development teams to maximize performance (including event-based fundraising, research and prospect management, donor relations, gift administration, and other revenue-generating activities). Proven track record of conceptualizing, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and closing lead annual and mid-level gifts consistently. Experience working with internal team members including individuals at the executive level, major gifts prospects, and other VIPs. Deep understanding of the fundraising cycle and managing a dynamic portfolio of prospects at different stages. Excellent planning and goal-setting skills, and the ability to effectively course correct. Ability to collaborate with team members at various levels to deliver maximum performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in a culture of philanthropy with tact and diplomacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Preferred Four (4) years of experience as a frontline fundraiser in a healthcare organization or higher education setting.
