Job Details Specialty: NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/07/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Pay Rate: $2397.00 – $2545.00 per 12‑hour shift Location: Level Four NICU, Anschutz Medical Campus, Denver, CO Unit: Level Four NICU (Cost Center 1001220) Trauma Level: Level I Unit Capacity: 82 beds/suites/deliveries; Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratio: 2:1 Responsibilities Provide 12‑hour night shifts for 36 hours per week Float to acute care (Level VI, VIII, or IX) or other ICU units (PICU, CICU) as needed, within a 35‑mile radius of the primary location Complete float assignments in the NICU whenever possible; if floating outside, care patients no older than 3 years Work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights) Provide on‑call coverage only if required (none listed for this assignment) Work the night before Labor Day or the night of Labor Day (holiday work) Adhere to the 50‑mile radius rule and the 10‑day RTO limit in the first two weeks of the assignment Qualifications Education: BSN required; ADN with 8+ years Level IV NICU experience in a teaching children's facility considered Licensure: Current RN license (Compact accepted) Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS required; Advanced NRP preferred Minimum Clinical Experience: 2 years Level IV NICU experience Experience in a teaching hospital required No gaps in employment greater than 30 days One reference from the last 12 months Vaccine Policy: Exemptions for seasonal influenza vaccine allowed with completed form submission Preferred Qualifications Previous travel nursing experience Children's hospital experience PICU experience is a plus but not required Job Benefits Competitive pay rates Free, quality, private housing Medical, dental, vision coverage 401(k) and flex spending accounts Life insurance Accident and short‑term disability coverage Free continuing education Refer a friend program with extra cash incentives About the Company AMN Healthcare strives to be recognized as the most trusted, innovative, and influential force in helping healthcare organizations provide quality patient care that continually evolves to make healthcare more human, more effective, and more achievable.
