HR Business Partner

Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and leaders across the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Serve as the primary HR liaison and main point of contact for assigned client groups Consult on HR policies, procedures, employment law, best practices, and core HR functions Interpret, advise on, apply, and disseminate complex policies, procedures, and options Recommend strategies aligned with established objectives and goals Facilitate and process complex HR transactions and programs Audit human resources reports for compliance Develop and implement processes and procedures for employee training, recruitment, compensation, and payroll Respond to inquiries in person, by email, and through other communication mediums Relay information to appropriate entities Contribute to strategic plans and direct staff implementation of initiatives aligned with strategic goals Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals Requirements At least two years of professional experience in one or more human resources disciplines Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience Experience serving as an HR Business Partner or in a similar advisory role within a higher education institution or other complex organization Ability to work independently while advising and supporting leadership on a broad range of HR matters Experience across multiple human resources disciplines, such as recruitment, employee relations, and training Experience analyzing, interpreting, and/or reporting data to support workforce strategy and planning Knowledge and practical experience applying employment laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines, such as FMLA and FLSA Coursework in Human Resources Management and/or current HR certification, such as SHRM-CP,
