Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Evenings | 12-Hour Shifts (0830–2030) | 3x12 per week | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage as needed | On-call responsibility may be assigned (not to exceed 3 on-call shifts per six weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hemodialysis care to both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Monitor and respond to patient telemetry, including identification of lethal cardiac rhythms
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in on-call shifts on weekdays and weekends as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient hemodialysis experience in a Level 1 Trauma or comparable acute care hospital setting, within the last 3 years
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patients required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start, with a minimum score of 80%; strict passing criteria apply including 100% identification of lethal rhythms
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility – local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a large academic medical center or major referral hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in both adult and pediatric populations
