Forklift Operator Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Forklift Operator Skills and Experience Requirements

Experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation. Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Forklift Operator Physical Capabilities

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments. Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.

What You Will Do

As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility. A Forklift Operator contributes to warehouse operations by safely moving products, organizing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position requires equipment proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain safe work practices throughout every shift. The Forklift Operator supports inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and efficient product movement while helping maintain productive warehouse operations. This profession rewards individuals who enjoy equipment operation and active work.
