About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2-3 Years Preferred License: Required Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP, STABLE, ACLS Preferred Must-Have: C-EFM certification through NCC is required at the time of submission. Strong labor and delivery experience is preferred. Previous charge experience is preferred. Scrub experience is preferred. Cerner charting experience is preferred. Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in labor and delivery. The RN will assist with high-risk deliveries and support lactation during postpartum recovery. Experience in monitoring and recognizing abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is necessary. The position requires the RN to float to mother/baby units as needed. The RN will be required to participate in on-call shifts as scheduled. The position will require working every other weekend. Knowledge of intravenous therapy, fetal monitoring, and postpartum complications is essential. The ability to manage multiple patients efficiently while ensuring quality care is paramount. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Experience with amnioinfusion, epidurals, and recovery from cesarean sections is preferred. The role involves maintaining a calm and supportive environment for patients and families. The RN will support and educate patients on their birthing options and postpartum care. Proficiency in performing sterile exams and assessments is critical. Experience with various patient age groups, including neonates, is necessary.
