About This Position

The Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is recruiting for a full-time Program Coordinator position and will be creating a registry for future openings. Our mission is to recruit, train, and support quality volunteer advocates for the best interests of abused, neglected, and abandoned children. Our vision is for every child who needs a voice in the juvenile dependency court system to have a CASA volunteer to advocate for their best interests, a forever home, and a bright future.

Program Coordinators are an integral part of our volunteer network. You will provide training, guidance, feedback, and support to Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteerseveryday community members who give their time to advocate for children in dependency court. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, genuine passion for child advocacy, flexibility to meet volunteers' needs, and unwavering commitment to our mission.

What Makes This Role Unique

As a Program Coordinator, your primary responsibility is providing oversight, guidance, and support to a designated caseload of CASA volunteers as they advocate for children in dependency court. This means being available when your volunteers need youwhich requires flexibility and adaptability.

This position serves a volunteer network, which means your schedule must accommodate theirs. You will work evenings and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) to provide support when volunteers are available, facilitate trainings outside business hours, and may attend community events that connect us with prospective advocates.

In addition to volunteer support, you will help facilitate pre-service and continuing education trainings and may assist with community outreach efforts. However, your volunteers and the children they serve are your primary focus.

Important Position Requirements

This position is not open for remote or hybrid work schedules. Program Coordinators work on-site with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to support our volunteer network and participate in team collaboration.

Evening and weekend work is required and is a core function of this role, not an occasional occurrence. You will regularly work outside traditional business hours, flexing your schedule, to accommodate volunteer schedules, facilitate trainings, and occasionally represent CASA at community events.

Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the CASA program, and this position exists to support them in their advocacy for children.

Recruitment Timeline

This is a continuous recruitment to fill one (1) immediate vacancy and to create an eligibility registry for future CASA Program Coordinator openings. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and interviews will be scheduled with qualified candidates as they are identified. This posting will remain open until the immediate position is filled and the registry is established.
