Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a cancer hospital setting, requiring CNOR-preferred skills across multiple surgical specialties and an active OH or compact RN license.Details\n \n Operating Room unit within a cancer hospital and research setting\n Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours/week\n Shift options include 06:30-17:00, 06:30-19:00, and 10:30-20:30\n Call responsibilities as needed, including evening (1500-2300), night (2300-0700), and weekend (0700-1900, 1900-0700) coverage\n Weekend shifts required as needed\n Documents patient care using EPIC EMR\n Requirements\n \n Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration\n Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required, including oncology experience\n BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred\n Circulate and scrub experience preferred\n EPIC EMR experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program\n Experience preferred (rated 3-4) in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da Vinci) procedures\n 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or Supervisor; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted\n Additional Information\n \n Provide circulating and scrubbing support across a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, neurology, general surgery, ENT, urology, orthopedics, and thoracic surgery\n Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci Xi, Da Vinci SP) preferred for applicable cases\n Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain accurate records\n Familiarity with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia preferred\n Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon signing contract, including travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location if outside the state but within driving distance\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate\n RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less\n Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility\n Current employees of Ohio State University hospital system are ineligible for travel positions at any OSU location\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-745236.
