Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License: Must hold a current compact nursing license Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP; Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: - Minimum of 3 years of high-risk experience preferred, 2 years required in a high-acuity environment. - Current supervisory references. - Proof of required certifications upon application. - Ability to pass clinical review. - Experience providing newborn care including assessments and administering vitamin K injections. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit. This role involves working in a high-volume, high-risk setting with an average daily census of 15 deliveries. Candidates should have experience in midwifery and adult recovery services, supporting substance recovery. Float may be required to postpartum and antepartum units. RN will function as a baby nurse during deliveries and will continue care for newborns until transfer to postpartum. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC charting is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable in fast-paced environments and capable of providing newborn care. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care in labor and delivery, including high-risk cases. Team members will adhere to established guidelines for staffing and patient care. References covering the last three years are required during the compliance process.
