Medical Billing Specialist

Submit claims to insurance companies on a daily basis, primarily electronically Maintain knowledge of which physicians accept which insurances Verify insurance eligibility for patients as needed Accept calls from patients regarding their bill and assist them with comprehension Call insurance companies for status of outstanding claims Assess insurance denials and determine course of appeal Gather necessary documentation for claim appeals and resubmit claims Occasionally explain benefits to patients as requested Abide by HIPAA and other relevant medical office regulations Your Qualifications: High School Diploma Ability to work as part of a team Must be able to operate as a team player Location Flexibility Half-Day Fridays Mid Florida Dermatology is an Equal Opportunity Employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
