Company: The Davey Tree Expert Company Location: Solon, OH Work Site: On Site Employment Type: Permanent Job Type: Full Time Travel Expectations: Up to 25% Position Overview The Davey Tree Expert Company is looking to add a dynamic Landscape Trainee to our team, handling planned landscaping operations and maintaining grounds and landscape at private, governmental, or business residences. Job Duties What You’ll Do: Perform plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, and related duties. Diagnose insect, disease, and turf and shrub conditions. Communicate landscape needs with management and clients. Drive, use, maintain, and operate equipment safely. Qualifications Love of the outdoors. Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping. Preferred: Knowledge of turf, weed, tree and shrub identification, pathology, and turf or tree physiology. Ability to complete the Davey Landscape career development books upon hire. Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire. Valid driver’s license. Preferred: Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
