Your contributions will directly support the seamless preparation and presentation of our delicious bakery items, enhancing the overall experience for our valued customers. Join us in crafting delightful treats that bring smiles to faces!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDecorate sheet, round, and layer cakes, as well as cupcakes, per customer and internal specifications.Assemble, prep, slice, and package finished bakery products.Operate and sanitize production equipment, including slicers and packaging machines.Label, inspect, and sort baked goods for quality control and order fulfillment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and SQF.Immediately report any food safety or quality concerns to a supervisor.Assist other bakery staff as needed to meet production goals.Preferred Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 1 year of cake decorating experience in a commercial or retail bakery setting.Skilled in decorating techniques and color coordination.Required Skills and CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and quality.Manual dexterity for precise decorating tasks.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Good communication and time management skills.Familiarity with food safety and sanitation principles.Flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends as needed.Working ConditionsWork performed primarily in a production environment.Exposure to common bakery allergens (e.g., wheat, dairy, eggs).Use of commercial mixers, icing equipment and supplies, and packaging machines.Frequent exposure to standing and physical motion for extended periods.Additional NotesMust be able to work flexible hours based on production demands.BenefitsAffordable healthcare upon eligibilityCompany-sponsored Life InsuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityCompany 401(k) upon eligibilityPaid Time OffBirthday PTOReferral BonusShift Differential on eligible shiftsCompetitive Salaryand moreUkrop's Homestyle Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer
