Washington Area Safety Manager

Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in implementing and reviewing site‑specific safety plans and programs Support and assist the company's field staff and Project/Construction Managers in SH&E requirements Show proficiency in SH&E auditing and inspection protocols, behavior‑based safety observation program implementation, and development and review of Job Hazard Analysis Be proficient in SH&E training and able to facilitate this training as required Display working knowledge of SH&E regulatory codes to include both federal and state Partner with the Area Manager to establish best practices and procedures in support of SH&E requirements within an office and field environment Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous SH&E work experience in construction, mining/tunneling, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil and Gas and/or A&E firm Required Qualifications Bachelor or Technical degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related field A minimum of 5 years experience in Safety Health and Environment field Certification in one or more SH&E fields such as (Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), or equivalent SH&E Project/Program Management experience Extensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software Team‑oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SH&E policy and procedural requirements An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must Primary Location United States – Washington – Bellevue Other Locations United States – Washington – Everett, United States – Washington – Olympia, United States – Washington – Seattle, United States – Washington – Gig Harbor Employment Status Full‑time, Regular At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
