In-House/Field Technician

Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities. Use a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems requiring isolation of the malfunction, disassembly, and replacement of bearings, gears, and structural components. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems. Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and equipment alignments. Plan and execute maintenance tasks and complete all follow‑up documentation. Complete repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems. Record maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing setting preferred. Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, and Operating Procedure Elements. Understanding of welding techniques. Knowledge of high‑pressure piping systems. Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems. Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
