Adult Primary Care APC (Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant) Full‑time position. Exempt. Responsibilities Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse under the supervision of the Medical Directors will ensure efficient treatment of patients. They will participate in organization-wide Patient‑Centered Medical Home activities to enhance patient care. The role requires superb communication skills to help patients connect with their primary team and other services. The provider will operate within a team‑based, evidence‑based medical care model, using adult primary care specialty practice. Qualifications PA or APRN licensed in the State of Nevada with a specialty in adult primary care. Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and DEA License. Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance. 5+ years of experience as a primary care provider. Knowledge of the essential functions, practices and procedures of a medical clinic and office. Knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10‑CM coding. Ability to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice primary care setting, acting as part of a care team. Ability to treat patients in an immediate care inpatient medicine setting (acute illness and injury appropriate for outpatient level of care). Skill in operating personal computer utilizing electronic medical records, word processing, databases and e‑mail. Skill in operating various office equipment: calculator, copy/scanning machine, fax machine, and telephone. Skill in operating and interpreting various outpatient medical office equipment. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information, financial information and medical information. Ability to read, write legibly, calculate mathematical figures and medication doses. Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables as a care team member. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions. Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members in a care team structure to build and enhance teamwork in the clinics and across the organization. Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to interview and communicate either in person or with an interpreter with patients in a clinical setting in English.
