Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role involves providing nursing care in a medical/surgical unit focused on innovative technologies and practices. As part of a dynamic team, you will play an essential role in adopting and implementing new nursing practices and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care according to established protocols and nursing plans.
• Participate in rotating self-scheduling and holiday rotation, ensuring availability during designated periods.
• Float to other departments as necessary to meet staffing needs.
• Engage with emerging medical technologies and innovative practices within the unit.
• Observe and maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:6.

Schedule

Shifts will be predominantly nights, working 3 12-hour shifts per week. Expect to work every other weekend and participate in a holiday rotation which requires working one summer and one winter holiday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Must be willing to float between units as necessary.
• First-time applicants are encouraged to apply.
• Must reside outside of the specified local radius of 50 miles.
• Pending licenses will not be accepted.

Additional Information

On the first day of employment, new RNs will complete required documentation at Employee Health and will begin their first shift on the following Tuesday.
