This role is ideal for a strategic communicator with a passion for visual storytelling, particularly through video production, who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Salary RangeFull salary range for this position is $159,000 to $173,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To The Duties Listed BelowStrategic Communications Planning: Support long-term strategic planning and future operations by developing integrated communication campaigns aligned with SSC's mission and enterprise-wide objectives.Multichannel Campaign Execution: Leverage a variety of communication platforms—including conferences, media relations, social media, internal events, websites, articles, and especially video—to deliver compelling and synchronized messaging.Video Production Leadership: Serve as producer/director for video content. Responsibilities include storyboarding, scripting, directing, editing, and ensuring final products meet industry standards and strategic intent.Content Development: Research, draft, and edit speeches, articles, and testimony related to SSC's missions, operations, and initiatives. Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with AP style.Message Integration: Coordinate with HQ USSF, SSC, and partner organizations to ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external communications.Quality Assurance & Analysis: Provide assessments and feedback to ensure all communication products meet high-quality standards and strategic goals.Graphic & Multimedia Support: Create and integrate graphics and multimedia elements to enhance communication materials.Editorial Review: Review and refine submissions from other staff to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with SSC's communication style and objectives.Compliance & Coordination: Ensure all deliverables are cleared for public release and comply with government approval protocols.Education, Requirements And QualificationsUS citizen with an active secret security clearance is required.Ten plus (10+) years of experience.MA/MS degree. Twelve (12) years' work experience may be substituted for master's degree.Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.Working Conditions And Physical RequirementsExample lifting in excess of 25 lbs, standing for long periods of time, traveling across base regularly, transporting equipment, etc. Credence company
